Sau Bay Resort & Spa is located in the southeastern-most area of Fiji's second largest island of Vanua Levu, which is easily accessed by domestic flights operated by Fiji Airways (Fiji Link) servicing the towns of Labasa, Savusavu and Matei on Taveuni. The fastest route to our resort is via Matei, as shown in the map below.
VANUA LEVU
Located just over an hour from the bustling tourist destination of Savusavu, Sau Bay can be reached from several nearby towns including Savusavu (Viti Levu), and Matei (Taveuni), as detailed in the following map. Note that Sau Bay is not accessible directly by road and that a boat transfer is required from Natuvu. We can also arrange for transfers from Labasa, although the land journey takes approximately 3 hours.

Sau Bay is located literally at the doorstep of the world-famous Rainbow Reef. The Rainbow Reef is known as the “soft coral capital of the world”. Sau Bay has the distinct advantage of being the only luxury resort located closest to the best dive spots on the Rainbow Reef, including the spectacular dive site known as “Rainbow’s End” – only a ten-minute boat ride from Sau Bay.
