COVID-19 Need To Know
A COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Test or RAT test is required to be taken within 72 hours of arrival in Fiji. Sau Bay Resort & Spa is authorized to administer this test on our own premises, so that you don't need to worry about having to stop somewhere else to get the test done.
Our Care-Fiji certified staff will simply process you upon arrival at our resort. The test takes approximately 20 minutes per person and can be done concurrently with your check-in procedure.
1. What happens in the unlikely event that I test positive for COVID at the resort?
Should you test positive for COVID upon check-in, you will simply quarantine in your bure for the duration of your illness, until you test negative. Your meals will be brought to you and you have WiFi in your room to stay in constant communication with our staff regarding an needs you may have.
2. How worried should I be to get COVID in Fiji?
Fiji is over 90 percent vaccinated at this time, and all passengers coming to FIji are required to be fully vaccinated. Therefore, the risk of getting COVID is significantly reduced. However, the risk is never zero and our guests are advised to wear masks and practice standard recommended social distancing and health protocols during transit. In the unlikely event that you contract COVID and requrie medical attention, hospitals that are equipped to handle more servere COVID cases are available in the vicinty of our resort and we will make arrangements to transfer you to a hospital.
3. What precautions does Sau Bay Resort & Spa take to ensure guests remain safe from COVID
Sau Bay Resort takes cleanliness and sanitation very seriously and routinely disinfects areas frequented by guests, and housekeeping meticulously cleans your bure on a daily basis. I.f you prefer to minimize staff entering your bure, you can request that housekeeping not provide daily service.
4. Where can I get a PCR test?
PCR tests are available on Taveuni, and can be readily booked from the resort. Our resort will make arrangements for any such desired testing.
